Resembling the classic rosés of Provence, this delicate wine displays aromas of rose petals and strawberries, with a dry finish, making it a versatile dinner wine. Our Dry Rosé is the outcome of a technique used in the production of red wine called saignée (bleeding) where a percentage of grape juice is drained from the red fermenter after brief contact with the skins. There are two delightful outcomes: we get a more concentrated red wine, and we get a delicate rosé that is derived from the free run juice which we ferment at a cool temperature like a white wine. All five varieties that we grow for our Landmark reds contribute to the Dry Rosé blend, which explains the wine's subtle complexity.
