Raki is an unsweetened, occasionally anise-flavored, alcoholic drink that is popular in Albania, Greece, Iran, Turkic countries and in the Balkan countries as an apéritif. This spirit is produced from grape and aniseed. It is distilled in special copper alembic by adding agricultural ethyl alcohol and aniseeds to the summa produced from carefully selected grapes and raisins from Turkey. Raki can be consumed with water or straight on the rocks.
